The
design is drawn onto the silk ground fabric.

The
design is padded with two layers of felt and crochet cotton.

The
diamond sections are outlined in pearl purl and then filled in with
Japan thread.

The
leaves are worked in purl threads, sewing down chips (beads) at a
diagonal over the crochet cotton padding. The body of the pineapple
is outlined with milliary wire.

The
grapes and cherries are worked in rhodes stitch.

The
leaves are worked in satin stitch.
-
Green
French knots and beads are added to the pineapple to add dimension.
