TREE WITH BIRD
The Jacobean
Tree with Bird is for all levels of embroiderers. Due the
large size of the embroidery, beginners may want to begin with the
Jacobean Bird or Jacobean Tree with Snail. This kit has a 18 page
Instruction Booklet (8 1/2 by 11 or A4 size sheets) with over 60
diagrams for all stages of the embroidery. A full size colour picture
shows the stitches clearly so that it can be seen how each stitch
should look when complete. The instructions are detailed, written
with the beginner in mind and intended to guide embroiderers of any
level through the embroidery from beginning to end. The fabric comes
with the design hand drawn on so there are no worries about
transferring the design.
Working the embroidery:
A variety of different embroidery stitches
(approximately 22) are worked on natural colour traditional Jacobean
linen twill fabric using a single strand of Appleton's crewel wool.
