HAPSBURG LACE
SCISSORS CASE
This scissors
case is for 3 1/2 inch long by 1 3/4 inch wide embroidery scissors
such as Gingher
embroidery scissors and case
can be worked by beginner to advanced embroiderers,
if you enjoy counted thread such as cross-stitch you will enjoy
working the scissors case.
The
scissors
case is worked using pearl cottons on an
18 count mono canvas. In the example opposite white
pearl cottons have been embroidered onto 18 count
brown coloured mono canvas.
Lacy
Hapsburg lace stitches are worked leaving spaces between
the patterns for ribbons to be inserted. Beads are sewn down to
emphasize some areas of the case. Each pattern is charted out and
explained in detail how it is worked.
This case looks
great using any coloured mono
canvas with a contrasting
pearl cotton colour, I offer brown (also known as natural)
) or antique blue canvas (see bookmark
below for antique blue canvas) in my kit with white pearl cotton and
a light blue ribbon.
If
you purchase the instruction booklet alone you can choose your own
colour canvas and contrasting pearl cotton thread (more than one
colour can be used) and different colour cord to
give your case a unique look. If you dislike
French knots, beads have proven to be an
appealing substitute (to the embroiderer and the admirer),
the choice is yours.
I
am offering free correspondence and free on going critique for this
kit, for more details go to - Free
on going critique.
